Eax Advanced Hd 4.0 Drivers For Mac

Alright, so i've never tried EAX advanced HD, but i sure as hell would like to.
The sound card I have is a 'asus xonar HDAV 1.3 deluxe' apparently eax 5.0 (software instead of chip) capable with DS3D GX 2.0.
There are three options in FEAR -> sound;
HW Mixing
EAX 2.0
EAX Advanced HD (greyed out)
From what i've read on the net the EAX Advanced HD in FEAR is version 4.0 . I've also read that EAX 5.0 is backward compatible. At the moment i'm testing in XP so there should be no EAX restrictions...
In my info screen of my asus cp it lists the versions as follows;
3D AUDIO ENGINE -> Xear3D DS3D EAX 2.0
Audio driver version -> 5.12.8.1792
Audio Controller -> Xonar audio processing unit
DirectX version -> DirectX 9.0c
GX -> 1.0.10.917
ASIO -> 2.0.0.02
I'm not sure but does this mean I have less than the DS3D GX 2.0 version that is required for EAX 5.0? or is the DS3D EAX 2.0 the GX 2.0 version that supports software EAX 5.0?
Any clues about how to get this going or even if its just not possible at all would be greatly appreciated.. If its just FEAR not recognising the software EAX 5.0 right, is there anyway i could trick it into thinking its a creative card?

Resolves the following issues:

  • Audio device driver files are not removed completely when uninstalling from Windows Device Manager.
  • Sound Blaster Audigy audio device does not appear in the Encoder tab of Audio Control Panel.
  • Unable to run 64-bit version of ASIO software.
  • Device error caused by enabling audio enhancements.
  • Incorrect speaker configuration shown in Audio Control Panel.
  • System unable to shut down when Dolby速 Digital Live is enabled in Windows 7.
  • Passthrough of Dolby/DTS速 audio does not work with Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7.
  • Speaker settings in Audio Control Panel are not in sync with Microsoft Speaker Setup in Windows 7 64-bit.
  • System becomes unstable when uninstalling the audio device driver in Windows 7 64-bit.

Known Issues:

  • Driver decoding of Dolby/DTS audio does not work with Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7. As a workaround, use a 3rd party software media player to playback DVDs.
  • Applications from the original Sound Blaster Audigy CD will not work with this download on Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Click here to download the latest applications that are available for your product.
  • Users are advised to use Audio Console included in this download to change speaker configurations.
  • Gameport is not supported in Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
  • 6.1 speaker mode is not supported by Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
