Re:GeForce GTX 670 crashes with driver installed. 2012/12/24 08:17:32 i had the same problem id install the driver for the 670 ftw screen would go black moniter go in2 power save mode id have to re4mate to get back in2 windows install drivers samething i had a external harddrive hooked up called my book unhooked it started working perfect. GTX 9xx series; Attention: pascal chipset is currently not supported) – the nvidia webdriver for mac, latest version – 'sufficient' power via power supply - one nvidia card in a mac pro can easily be mounted within MacPros (4.1 or 5.1) by using special 6 or 8 Pin power connectors when using the 'integrated mac powersupply', avialble at. The best drivers are usually the latest drivers. Unless people are reporting widespread issues for your specific GPU (GTX 670), you should be good to go. Compared to that driver, you should see an FPS gain in a lot of games because NVIDIA's had two extra years to flesh out the Kepler architecture and optimize newer games. I'm still on the old (but reliable) 314.22 drivers from 2013 since I didn't feel a need to upgrade until now. Games like 'Evolve' have begun to make me ponder an upgrade...

Gigabyte geforce gtx 670

Nvidia Geforce Gtx 670

  1. For now, what is the best driver set for my EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW? I remember back in the day when new drivers could actually hinder performance of older cards. Is that still the case? I didn't want to install the newest 347.52 from Nvidia's website without confirming first.

  2. When installing drivers, I have the ability to uncheck features such as the GeForce Experience 1-click optimization feature. I hear it can be very problematic. Are folks leaving that feature On or Off?

So i originally had a GeForce GT 520 in this build and i ran 10.8.0 flawlessly on it. I decided to upgrade to a GTX 670 FTW. I tried installing just 10.8.0 but i kept getting black and white screens. after some research i figured that i needed to try a newer version of ML for this card. After updating to 10.8.4 I cannot boot without a kernel panic, but if i boot to safe mode it works nearly 100%. i have full resolution but dashboard and other features are choppy. I checked verbose when i boot without safe mode and the panic happens when it says 'kernel extensions in backtrace.' It seems like 10.8.4 works with my card fine, but not with my motherboard, but 10.8.0 doesnt work with my card but works with my motherboard, but i cant seem to find a guide to fixing either of these problems and all the solutions ive seen dont seem to work or dont give clear explanations. And i need to be able to boot without safe mode because i have a wireless adapter and it doesnt work in safe mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
